How to safely disable SSL Zen CDN plugin

Last updated November 7, 2023 · CDN · Generic Premium · Support

Step 1 — find your hosting server's IP (GoDaddy: My Products → Web Hosting → Manage → Server/Settings tab; Bluehost: Advanced → Server Information; SiteGround: User Area → My Accounts → Information & Settings; HostGator: cPanel → General Information → Shared/Dedicated IP).

Step 2 — verify/update the A record. Check at whatsmydns.net. If it points to a StackPath IP (e.g. 151.139.128.10), change it in your registrar's DNS settings to your host's real IP.

Step 3 — update the CNAME for www. If it points to something like y9z6u2s1.stackpathcdn.com, change it to your domain.

Step 4 — wait for propagation (up to 48 hrs), re-check at whatsmydns.net at 0/12/48 hours, then deactivate (and optionally delete) the SSL Zen CDN plugin from WordPress → Plugins. Clear site and browser cache afterward and verify the site loads.
