Refunds & cancellations — policy and how to ask
Policy: every SSL Zen purchase includes a 14-day money-back guarantee — if the plugin didn't work out within 14 days of purchase, you get a full refund, no questions asked. You keep access to the free version either way.
To request a refund or cancel:
- Email support@sslzen.com from the email address you purchased with (or use the Contact Us page inside the plugin), and say which you want: *refund* (money back) or *cancellation* (stop future renewals — you keep access for the period already paid).
- Include your site's domain name if you can — it helps us find the purchase instantly. You do not need to send invoices or card details.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Cancel a subscription yourself: SSL Zen → Account in your WordPress admin shows your plan; cancelling there stops auto-renewal immediately. Purchases are handled by Freemius (our merchant of record), so the charge on your statement may appear as Freemius.
Please don't open a bank dispute/chargeback for a normal refund — we honor the guarantee directly, and a direct email is refunded much faster than a bank process (which takes weeks and freezes the amount). If you've waited more than 2 business days for a refund reply, email again with "URGENT REFUND" in the subject — it routes to a same-day queue.
